Elda Boyce – Devotional Kirtan Chanting
Transcend from the physical breath and sound to the subtler heart-centered superconscious realms of chanting. With interiorized consciousness, dwell in the stillness, peace, joy and love that is always within you. Behold the Glorious Face.
Many years of devotional chanting, leading kirtans and meditations at temples of Self-Realization Fellowship, are reflected in Elda’s music. She is also one of the first musicians from the West to play Indian bhajans, and has led many devotees in singing the Lord’s name.
Chant the Lord’s name day and night from the deepest part of your soul with love and longing. Sing the song of eternal love and devotion for the Divine.

Elda was born in Zadar, Croatia. At age 6 her family immigrated to America. Music was part of her life early on, starting with accordion, then studying classical music, composition and cello at New York’s Fiorello H. La Guardia School of Music and Art and Performing Arts.
Years later, the harmonium was a natural transition. During several trips to India she had the special opportunity to spend time at the Yogoda Satsanga Ashram learning the art of devotional chanting and bhajans from the renowned Brahmacharini Mirabai.
Hence there are East/West elements that combine the sounds of classical orchestral instruments with East Indian percussion and string instruments. These join together as the backdrop for simple repetitive melodies and lyrics that allow one to relax, practice affirmation in song and interiorize the consciousness for meditation and for the purpose of dwelling in joyous, loving thought and awareness of the Divine Spirit within.
Elda’s chant-songs combine ethereal sounds with soulful, traditional kirtan-style chanting, sending one’s mind to center itself on the thought of God, and on to higher realms where love for God reigns, filling the longing heart with divine Joy. Love for God is the goal. Her creative approach to chanting whole-heartedly embraces Paramahansa Yogananda’s offering, “My voice was made to sing Thy glory.”
